The kilometer zero in Sofia
Sofia’s s kilometer zero is located right behind the beautiful building of the Military club, close to the Saint. Sophia Church, and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Check our video, and learn more about this mysterious, and off-beaten sight!
The yellow tower was built in 1920, and for a long time, it was used for astronomic observations.
This is also the main triangularic point of Bulgaria. It was used for measuring distances between the Bulgarian capital, and other European cities, before the global navigation satellite systems were introduced.
