COVID 19 and its effect on Traventuria day tours
Our team has been closely monitoring the developing situation with COVID19 virus on the territory of Bulgaria and around the globe. As of the 13th of March, Bulgaria has declared a state of emergency in order to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. Additional measures have been taken in the course of the following days with the ban on organized tourist groups until mid-April (considering the epidemic in Europe, it most probably will be extended). There’s been a ban on incoming flights from several European countries.
Traventuria has been operating for well over 10 years now and we’ve established ourselves as the leading travel agency in Bulgaria. With the effects of Covid19 and the imposed restrictions, we face difficult months ahead, but we will continue working to make most of the given situation.
What are we doing in these circumstances for our customers?
Customers with reservations starting during the ban period have been contacted by our team with the following options:
- Rescheduling of the booking for a different travel period
- Refund of the existing bookings
If you’ve not been contacted or you have concerns about your booking, contact us as soon as possible so that we can process your reservation.
Our team is working non-stop to respond to every inquiry affected by the Coronavirus.
We’ve also updated our cancellation policy reflecting the great uncertainty and need for flexibility. E.g. now you can cancel free of change up to 24 hours.
What does the future hold for Traventuria?
Despite the financial burden due to the cancellations of many of our reservations, Traventuria will continue to operate! We are prepared to endure these difficult times. Our team is highly motivated and is preparing future projects and activities once everything calms down.
Our team’s, customers’ and partners’ safety is and has always been our top priority. For our tours upcoming tours, we will secure masks and disinfecting gels, while the vehicles will be cleaned and disinfected after each tour.
We are now also working to further expand the choices you can make for our day tours from Sofia. Besides the option to book a small group tour, there will be a choice to a private tour with a guide or just a driver.
For every private tour, we can make a tailor-made itinerary according to the wishes of the client.
