Thirsty when discovering a new tourist attraction? Stay plastic-free and just refill your bottle for multiple uses. For Bulgaria, you can find a detailed online map from here. There is also a universal app, which can guide you to the nearest city fountain or a store/restaurant/bar, where you can refill your bottle for free. The app is called Refill and is free for download from the Google Play Store. Strictly speaking, I don’t believe that there is a shop or a restaurant in Sofia that will refuse to refill your bottle. All in all, modern technologies make it even easier to find a place to refill your bottle and thus excuses for purchasing a plastic bottle are considered by us absolutely invalid.
